Warning: a serious post that has no cute pictures or stories about our son. Instead, this is a call to action & awareness. This isn't typically my style, but really, how can someone sit aside and let things like this happen. Warning over.


If you spend much time on social media these days (Facebook, Twitter) you may see some of your friends or favorite Christian artists posting videos with hashtag #savesaeed. Saeed Abedini is an American citizen who has been imprisoned in Iran for being a believer of Jesus Christ. The ACLJ is feverishly working on his case and working towards his freedom. This past Sunday, our Pastor shared an interview he did with Saeed's wife, Naghmeh.

Sitting and listening share about what her story was fascinating and heartbreaking. I tried putting myself in her shoes to get a better grasp of her current life. I'm impressed by her demeanor, her faith in God and the strength that comes from that. If Jef was taken away from me for 169+ days I would be a basket case. In desperate need of haircut!

We had Otto's 1 year check up. He is a healty, growing boy!! 

 

 

 

On 9/15/12 Otto got his first haircut. We went to our friend's apartment and he cooperated like a champ!!

We went to Downtown Nashville to see SPOKEN (Daddy's old band) play at the Hard Rock Cafe. Otto had a great time playing with his drumsticks and running around. There is a video on Facebook, if we are friends go watch it!

 

We had my niece & nephew's birthday party at the end of the month. It was a Mickey & Minnie themed. Here is Aunt Kika (me) & the birthday girl (Claire)!!!
