Introducing...
Our SON, Otto Cranston Cunningham!!!
So, Tuesday was the big day for Jef and I. Jef took the whole day off work so he could come with me for my 20 week ultrasound. It was scheduled at 8:30 am so that gave him the rest of the day to fill with other errands.
Everything on the ultrasound looks good & healthy. The baby weighs about 12 oz right now. It was pretty crazy to be able to watch the screen and see how busy he is with moving his arms and legs. Right now it is too early for me to feel the big kicks, but I definitely have been feeling the "bubbles" or "flutters".
Since we live away from our entire family, our plan was to tell my parents in person over Easter weekend. It was the most difficult thing to keep quiet!! We have been so excited to officially find out and start calling HIM by his name instead of saying "it" or "Army".
On Friday morning I made Mom & Dad sit down in the living room because I needed to show Mom "an episode of Gilmore Girls that has the scene of Zach & Lane's Baby Shower". Well, while I do love that scene that was not what was on the DVD. Mom kept asking questions about the scene and I kept answering them, until I hit play and said "Ah, Just kidding. It's your grandson". Once they caught on they were super excited. We even watched the video twice.
The rest of the weekend was spent working on our Baby Bash plans, playing with Claire & Owen and Easter. Jef, Mom & I headed over to Ashley's house to get started on party planning. Just before we left my parent's house I get a text from Ashley saying Claire has just flung blue yogurt all over the carpet and into her hair and needed a bath. (*Awesome*) We get over to Ash's and help get the kids ready to go shopping. Claire actually says "Kika" now instead of "KaKa". Loved that!!
You would think that four adults going shopping with a 2 year old and a 7 month old would be a piece of cake. Yeah right!! Thankfully, Uncle Jef ended up entertaining Claire while we were out and about. Here is a picture of them "Run, Run"-ing at Wal-mart. Claire picked up the pink hat and wanted to come show Mommy & Kika.
Once we got done shopping we headed back to Ashley's to start working on projects. We were able to get the invitations made as well as other decorations painted and made up. We worked on all of this upstairs while the kiddos played. Owen is so close to crawling, but right now he uses his right arm to "Army crawl" across the floor. My favorite thing is when he just hangs out on his left side. It looks like he is posing for the ladies. Watch out girls!!
On Sunday we decided to take a break and relax at Mom & Dad's. Mike, Ashley & the kids came over around 3pm. Claire and I played tea party and she opened her Easter basket from "Ma" and "Pa". After dinner Claire and I went to jump on the bed while Grandpa hid Easter eggs for her to find in the living room. Once she came out from the room she grabbed her basket and started yelling "Oh boy" every time she picked up an egg.
Here are a couple more pictures of Otto from our appt.
